Just as I expected. It was a boring CA. There was nothing to be done except observing. And observe. And observe. In case you didn’t see it, AND OBSERVE! Sian to the max, man. And to start the day off, I was so feeling sleepy, cuz of the lack of sleep the night before. And Im writing this entry late at night again, and Im gonna feel tired tomorrow. It’s a vicious cycle, which has turned into a habit. Lucky the gang I was with, who are Rudy the already alive out of the coma stuntman, the ooo-im-so-fat-and-look-at-my-tummy Leona, the ever youthful Mother Sumathi and the sweet-and-small- and- petite- and- can-keep-in-the-box Catherine Lim Khim Hui, kept me entertained, or else I’d be sleeping on Sister Koh’s lap oredi. Ugh, What am I blabbering about. Must be the fatigue. Boredom and fatigue makes a horribly lethal combination. I got a taste of it. It was so bad that I didn’t realize that sticky drops of saliva oozed out from my mouth when I slept in the MRT. That’s how tired I was. Even Sumathi, who was ever alert, didn’t see it. I hoped no one too. Cuz Id looked like the baby in the immunization ward who drooled a river.
You’d be in great denial if you say the Ca was ok. Dig deep into ur heart, and you will say the Ca is quite boring. But there were some instances which brightened up my day. Like the babies where we have to immunize and the toddlers for developmental assessment. They were so innocent and cute. They can say the darndest things. Some of their antics really made me laugh. I wished I could have played a greater role in assisting them, instead of just using my eye power to help :S. Maybe no more chance to see babies in the few days, cuz all the baby related jobs had been covered just now. Ugh.
The nurses there are not what I expect them to be, except for a certain Sista Koh. Heh. All of the nurses are friendly bunch, and they get along well with the patients, on the contrary to the articles we always see abt nurses showing attitude to clients. But I didn’t see it there. They were patient, caring, and love children. I really respect them especially the robotic staff nurse, who has a way with kids. Maybe I haven’t seen the worse side of the profession. Its only my 1st day there. So no clue about anything.
Dammit, Im getting long winded..and I dunno what Im writing. I nid to sleep NOW.
